Gozi Oburota, founder and CEO of GSO Corporation, incorporated the company in 1994.
Mr. Oburota has managed GSO through a period of dynamic growth, with engagements including the U. S. Department of Defense (Air Force and Navy), the US Department of Commerce, the District of Columbia, the City of San Jose, the County of Santa Clara, the multi-billion dollar San Francisco International Airport expansion and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Prior to the founding of GSO, Mr. Oburota worked for Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos, before coming to the United States in 1981. Mr. Oburota then went on to work for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) in Silicon Valley, California, upon graduation from McCombs School of Business in 1988. Mr. Oburota assisted IBM in the development and introduction of its mainframe storage system which accounted for $6 billion in annual revenue.
Mr. Oburota has BBA (Finance) and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Mr. Oburota, a registered republican and his wife, Nkechi Oburota, resides in Washington, DC metro area with their two sons.
